W09 Reflection

This week we learned all about disciple leadership and using that as we are thinking about entrepreneurship and understanding how the two can tie together. This week I really loved the articles that were from different BYU Idaho devotionals. One thing I really loved learning about was Elder Bednar‘s talk as he talked about disciple preparation. Now in this talk, he talked about how he was in the MTC and how he was able to share being a disciple with these missionaries. I thought that this is so powerful because that is the main thing that they are doing while they’re on their mission is being a disciple of Christ. And now one thing that stood out to me is that he reads from First Corinthians as it says a disciple of Christ is one who is following and learning to be like Christ, learning to think to feel, and to act as he does, he or she is striving to gain the mind of Christ. I thought that that was so powerful because a disciple of Christ is truly us who was just following and learning to be like Christ every day and it’s not just reading our comp follow me or studying our scriptures. It’s the way that we think it’s the way that we act. It’s the way that we react to things. This was very powerful, and I think that you can be a disciple in every different aspect of your life, whether that’s being a student whether that’s in a personal relationship, or even if it’s in the workplace. I think that understanding what a disciple is and specifically a disciple of Christ is that we are choosing to be disciple of Christ and to follow him every day and I think that’s so powerful when you think about it like that.
